That said, 6 months is too frequent for duelyst. I think their plan is for yearly rotations unless this has changed.

They wont get out enough expansions, or if they do, those will feel really rushed to justify 6 month rotation
I’m against any rotations, but a year at least seems reasonable.
Rotations do not keep things fresh in fact they make things stale by limiting the card pool. Innovation, balance patches, and new content are what keep things fresh.
I understand that in theory rotations means content more often, but that is the smallest factor in keeping a meta from being stale, especially because cards will either strait up start repeating them self or be very similar.
The combination of very slow rotation and a non rotating core makes this the best model I have seen, how could anyone want it to be faster?

Not to mention the fact that such frequent rotations would devalue people’s collections. I feel people are a lot less likely to experiment with janky shit knowing that rotations are going to be gutting their collection every semester. This would probably lead to only the most active players making anything fun because they can afford it. The rest will just be trying to find the cards that will make up the most competitive deck.
